Great Gogi Berries

-->
Great Gogi Berries

Benefits

The gogi berry is also known as the wolfberry where it is from in Asia. It is called a “super food” because it has a super amount of nutrients in it. Some of the super things it does is boost immune function, help your eyesight, balance hormones and even protect your cells from damage! If you can think of a vitamin, mineral, or nutrient this little berry probably has it in it. They have the most Vitamin C of almost any food. To hold the best nutrient content these berries are always found dehydrated. These semi-sweet berries are a great addition to many dishes.

How to Choose and Keep

You can only find these berries dried, so find the freshest ones you can, and make sure they are organic. I enjoy navitas naturals brand the best. To keep fresh make sure the bag is always securely closed, as air can dry them out.

Preparation

These berries are amazing in trail mix, and so much more nutritious then other dried fruit because they don’t have so much sugar. You can also soak them in hot water for a wonderful tea, make with oatmeal or with granola. They are very super food versatile!

Nutrients

Vitamin A, Vitamin C, Iron, Fiber, Protein, Calcium, Amino Acid, Thiamin, Riboflavin, Niacin, Zinc, Copper, Selenium, Phosphorus, Iron.

Action Steps
